Gershwin

Gershwin is a 1945 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer biographical musical film about the life and career of American composer George Gershwin. It was produced and directed by John Frankenheimer and stars Jose Ferrer as Gershwin. The film follows Gershwin's early career as a teenager performing in vaudeville and nightclubs, his rise to fame as a composer of Broadway musicals, and his eventual success in Hollywood. It features many of Gershwin's most famous songs, including "Rhapsody in Blue," "An American in Paris," and "I Got Rhythm."
