Hey, Hey, It's the Monkees

This is an American musical comedy film, directed by Michael Nesmith and starring the members of the popular 1960s pop group The Monkees: Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones, Michael Nesmith, and Peter Tork. Serving as a quasi-sequel or "fake documentary" extension of the popular Monkees television series, the film uses unconventional "documentary-like" filming techniques and techniques, intercut with stage performances featuring the group's pop music songs.
