Interstella 5555

Interstella 5555: The 5tory of The 5ecret 5tar 5ystem (also known as Discovery in Japan) is a 2003 French animated musical science fiction film co-produced by Japanese animation studio Toei Animation and French record label Daft Punk's Daft Arts. The film is based on Daft Punk's 2001 album Discovery and features a cast of anthropomorphic animals voiced by Japanese voice actors. It was directed and written by Kazuhisa Takenouchi and Leiji Matsumoto, with music composed by Daft Punk. Interstella 5555 follows the story of four members of the alien band The Crescendolls as they are kidnapped by a music manager named General Manager and transported to Earth to become pop stars. The band meets Shep, a space pilot who fell in love with Stella, the group's bassist, on their homeworld. Together, they must escape the control of General Manager and rediscover their true selves.
