Saudades Para Dona Genciana

An old maid, Dona Genciana, lives alone with her parrot, in a traditional provincial town. Men, who have never known her, frequently send her love letters. A young store clerk who also has a crippled sister, an alcoholic father, and a gang of local thugs on his trail, tries to get a job through Dona Genciana's friend Dona Elmira, a powerful socialite. Meanwhile, an actress suffers the tragic consequences of a romantic triangle.
