Tire dié
Detaylar
Toss Me a Dime is a 1960 Argentine documentary film directed by Fernando Birri. It is considered the first survey-on-film in Latin America and a pioneering example of direct cinema. The film follows the children of the Tire Dié neighborhood in Santa Fe, Argentina, as they beg for money from train passengers by shouting "Tire dié!" ("Toss me a dime!"). The film offers a raw and unvarnished look at the poverty and social issues facing the children of Tire Dié. It is a powerful and moving film that sheds light on an often-overlooked population.
