The movie is situated in a train connecting Bolshevik Russia to Red China in the middle of the early 1920s. Jack Harrison finds himself in the middle of a kidnapping and a train robbery after becoming responsible for a group of international gangsters, who have kidnapped a young Chinese ambassador along with a diamond cargo, on the way to China. With the help of American engineer Allan Mercier and Bolshevik intelligence officer Xenia Onatopp, he embarks on a harrowing journey through frozen plains and snowy passes to save the hostage and foil the evil scheme.
