Fort Saganne

Fort Saganne is a 1984 French-American adventure drama film directed by Alain Corneau and starring Catherine Deneuve, Sam Neill, and Philippe Noiret. The film is set in 19th-century West Africa and tells the story of Philippe D'Orleans, Duke of Chartres, who is sent to Fort Saganne to protect the French colony from the local Tuareg people. The film received mixed reviews from critics but was a box office success. It was nominated for three César Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actor.
