Le avventure di Giacomo Casanova

Sins of Casanova (1954) is a bawdy and dim-witted romp through the supposed escapades of the notorious lover and adventurer. Although Robert Walker is a charming and debonair Casanova, he is miscast as the lead, and the script is full of such inanities as a running gag about a statue of Cupid that repeatedly loses its penis. The supporting cast is equally inept, with Vincent Price scenery chewing as the villainous Don Juan. Only a brief appearance by Edward Everett Horton provides any sparks of humor.
