Two Way Street

Two Way Street is a British romantic comedy film from 1945 directed by James B. Clark and starring Peggy Cummins, Tommy Trinder, Basil Radford, Percy Marmont, Betty Warren, and Leslie Dwyer. It's set during World War II and follows Sidney (Tommy Trinder), a former bookie, and his fiancee Kitty (Peggy Cummins), the daughter of a cockney bird dealer. One day, they meet Lord Sebastian Reigate (Basil Radford). He was hiding from German air raids in their air raid shelter. Kitty buys him dinner and invites him back to her house, where her fiance Sidney robs him of his necklace, which was left as collateral for the money he borrowed.
