A Sandman. Neil Gaiman created the cult classic graphic novel The Sandman in 1989, which spawned a comic book series that ran until 1996 and served as the basis for this epic Netflix adaptation. A dark fantasy series, The Sandman follows Morpheus, the Dream Lord, as he embarks on a quest to retrieve his three stolen items of power: a helmet, a pouch of sand, and a ruby. The Sandman, which stars Tom Sturridge in the lead role, has received mostly positive reviews for its performances, writing, visuals, and faithful adaptation of Gaiman's source material.
