Zum goldenen Ochsen
Detaylar
Zum Goldenen Ochsen is a 2020 German comedy drama film directed by Florian Forsch and starring Bruno Ganz, Mona Pirzad, and Ursina Lardi. The film tells the unusual yet wonderful story of the long lost uncle, Franz (Bruno Ganz), who owns the guesthouse 'Zum Goldenen Ochsen' in Switzerland and seeks out the young Muslim divorcée Nuriye (Mona Pirzad). ZUM GOLDENEN OCHSEN (The Golden Bull Cafe) is a story of a family overcoming their differences in a delightful and endearing way. Franz is a retired conductor, who has been living out his recluse life at a small hostel he owns. When his relations insist that he sells the guest house , Franz’s niece Nuriye comes to his aid. However, as she arrives at the guest house, she quickly starts to understand why her family were desperate to get their hands on the guest house. The Golden Bull Cafe is a peculiar place with notorious visitors from all over the world. A young Iranian woman, Nasrin, arrives at the café to meet Nuriye. Nasrins's family intends to take Nasrin back to Iran. But, with the help of the divided family, Nasrin and Nuriye try to escape together to find freedom from the burden of their families. Forsch’s approach to cinema is well reflected in ZUM GOLDENEN OCHSEN. The film manages to create an odd yet attractive atmosphere with its picturesque setting in Wiesen. The narrative and subplots might appear superficial and clichéd at first, however, the charming performances of the crew and the subtle comedic undertones hold it together. The lead performances by Bruno Ganz and Mona Pirzad are notable.
