Il prezzo dell'onore, originally titled L'onorevole Angelina in Italy, is a well-acted but convoluted and overblown 1947 Italian drama in the melodrammone style, directed by Luigi Zampa and starring Anna Magnani. While the picture is generally well regarded it is rarely seen outside its native country; it is too pessimistic, too Italian, and too slow, as Magnani herself once explained.
